Recently, I open a new series of painting, Alba Àlainn. It means beautiful Scotland in Gaelic. Since I moved to Edinburgh on this date in 2009, I have been to lots of places in Scotland and experienced Scottish culture in these 17 years. Scotland is my second hometown now. I don’t think that I will move to another country sooner or later. Taiwan,my birth place, has been an important them for my art creation, and I also express my love and emotion of Scotland in my paintings. The first painting of this series, Alba Àlainn 01, is about the beautiful coastline of Isle of May where I visited multiple times for watching puffins. I also added the wild flower, thistles, gorses and highland castle to enhance the flavour of Scotland.
