From ideas to paintings......

Here will be the stories that Robert gathers ideas and then realise them under his brushes and knives.

Roses

My late sister was diagnosed of lung adenoma 4 months before I moved to Edinburgh. It was a very hard time for me. I was juggling staying with her or my future in that time. Selfishly, I chose my future. Sadly, she passed away with complications 5 months later.

Fortunately, I went back home for nearly 3 weeks before her pass. I took her to the hospitals, looked for the food she would love to eat, read bible with her and listened to gospel with her everyday. When I landed Edinburgh, she was sent to the emergency of the university hospital where I graduated. 3 days later, she left. There was no longer pain and suffering.

Rose was her favourite flower and it was her name. When I miss her, I paint a rose. From time to time, it became a unique communication between she and I. Sometimes, my friends told me that one of my roses creation looked sad, heavy and worried. It did reflect the status of me when I was creating the painting. Sometimes, my friends told me that my creation of roses making them happy and warming their heart. The paintings of roses are just like my late sister, a truly genuine woman. She left us when she was 39 years old.

This "Roses 08" is a very joyful, caring and happy oil painting. It was how my late sister wanted her friends and family to feel when we were with her. Even if the roses have thorns, roses are still stunning and soother everyone's pain just like my late sister.

Dear sis,

Today would be your 56th birthday.

We all missed you very much.

At least, you are no longer in pain.

You are with Jimmy and Pascal now.

Love you.

Have a great day.

Happy Birthday.
